Recent works up on Flickr / New Website / New Journey

Finally had some time to make a new website. It's simple but functional. Check it out! http://www.loaf.es

Also, feel free to dig some more of the recent works I've uploaded to Flickr.

I'm scheduled to be leaving in a few days going on another journey of the world trying to document the vibe of the times. A more legitimate and serious explanation would be much longer, but I'm in a rush and there's no time for that now. It'll suffice to say that I continue working for a foundation based in Shanghai and I'll be all over the Western US until I head south into Mexico. Wish me luck!

I'll try to put some shit up on Instagram, and as always, it'll be art related.

Be well, and as Terence McKenna said, "...stop consuming culture, and start creating it!" Good luck!

Laos & Cambodia, Yeah!

We spent a few months this year in Laos and Cambodia. What a great time. Learned a lot of things from a lot of beautiful people. Became highly inspired by alternate ways of being and living on this earth. The current oligarchical means of being greedy over moneys and the limited powers and freedoms it brings is but one way of being. And as the cultures of the planet, or ethnosphere, are/is being irrepreably damaged by globalization, let's learn as much as we can from our elder brothers before they're gone for good. Because the contemporary "western" way of cohabitating has obviously failed many if not all of us to some degree.
Essentially, we can do better.
So... begin within!
Breathe deep!
Enjoy!

Wim Hof - Vice & JRE

A little late, but always worth consideration. Science based confirmation of older potentially esoteric methods simplified for contemporary use, the purpose being; greater health, happiness, and strength, and potentially a rebalancing of our socio-cultural biosphere, ie. the world!
Enjoy!

Psychedelic Science 2017 - Videos | Renaissance

A really interesting series of videos at PsychedelicScience.org and a fantastic library of scientific research is available at MAPS.org

Really well worth your time if you are a human being on planet earth in 2017 and concerned with any of the issues related to being alive.

Here's hoping I'll live to see the New Renaissance or move to where it's more prevalent.

Having lived all over the world, I must say that life is best when I find myself living among beings far wiser, more knowledgeable, and more disciplined than myself. Because, when the smartest person in the room is me, shit, we are fucked.

Enjoy, and keep learning.

Happy New Year 2017! "BE HAPPY"

Below are some works from the last quarter of 2016 with links to Instagram & Flickr.

They're up on Flickr & and below is also the first image (a 4x4' canvas or 1.21 meters) appearing in that list...

If all goes well, I'll soon be traveling north into Siberia for the Chinese New Year. I'll then go south exploring South East Asian countries for inspiration as I continue work on a long term project with beautiful people for beautiful people as we share good art energies with everyone we meet and help the new generations that are coming along welcome a better dawn.

Much love to everyone I've met throughout Asia, the Americas, Europe, and Africa. I haven't been to Antartica ... yet!

Fo Guang Shan Zen Monastery, yeah!

I was living in a zen monastery in Taiwan; for a while like a monk, then as as a youth visitor, and finally as a guest painter.

The link below redirects to some of the works I made while there as a painter. (or hopefully the little arrows will work and it's a slideshow)

I learned a lot at Foguanshan. Level up!

"Culture is not your friend" (T. McKenna Talk) + Collage Culture (Book) + Youth Lagoon (Music)

Collage Culture http://collageculture.com/

In an essay called "The Death of Subculture," Aaron Rose (director of Beautiful Losers and co-curator of MoCA's record-smashing exhibit Art in the Streets) makes an impassioned call to arms, urging the next generation of artists to end the collage era by adopting a philosophy of creative innovation. And in her essay "Living in the Mess," Mandy Kahn (columnist, Foam magazine) considers whether the collage of references that surrounds us might negatively affect the way we feel.

Lyrics:
Possessed by something in the wind.
They watch me like I'm a threat to them.
With implants deep below their skin.
They laugh 'cause some refuse a PIN.

[chorus]
Sounds like a riot choking the highway.
With stun guns, smoke, and sirens on display.
[chorus]
Remember when no one danced the same.
We all had a voice, we had a name.
We're gold that's as bright as hell's own flame.
Forgive me, for i have lost my way.

Dripping in blood, waiting for your return.
In repetition hall of the nocturne.
Where we're going to, you can't bring all your worth.
Oh raise me up, oh raise me from the dirt.
Each second is a high point of concern.
Where we're going to, you can't bring all your worth.
